We pride ourselves on providing a supportive and accessible service for our authors throughout the publishing process.
Open Access: Our access programs give your article the widest possible outreach which means it’s free to access from anywhere in the world. As your article will be open access, it will be immediately and freely available and reusable without restriction.
Quality: We are committed to the highest standards of publications subject to high-level peer review, editorial, author and production services, ensuring the quality and reliability of the work. The Editorial Board of each journal determines their peer review policy, while maintaining our high standards. Editorial and peer review policies are available in the “Submission Guidelines” on each journal’s website. All our editors are supported by our in-house Editorial Team who advises on policy, decision-making, plagiarism and ethics to ensure every decision is as fair and transparent as possible.
Quick Publication: We offer fast publication while providing rigorous peer review to maintain the integrity of information. Across all of our journals, average papers are first published online less than 7 weeks after submission. It’s even quicker for communications at an average of 5 weeks. Our accepted manuscript option allows your article to be online within 24 hours of acceptance.
Impact and Citations: Articles tend to have a much bigger impact in the short-term compared to “subscription-only” work. The long-term impact has been found to be similar, with some studies showing a slightly larger impact for open-access articles.
Visibility: We’re committed to promoting your research as widely as we can and providing as much visibility and exposure for your article as possible. We also ensure your research is easy to find and cite, making your ideas and knowledge accessible to other researchers, communities and institutions around the world. You will get more citations, which in turn can establish you in the field more firmly.
Double-blind Peer-Review Process: This journal uses double-blind review, which means that both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa, throughout the review process. Since the reviewer does not know who wrote the abstract, they cannot be influenced by their standing within a research community or even gender. Sometimes it can be difficult to write a bad review (even if justified) on someone who is well-known within a particular sector. By having a double-blind review, it eliminated this happening.
Search Options: An article can typically be more easily located if it is in the open-access domain. In particular, searching within the article or recommending and sharing it with others, is facilitated to a great extent.
Author and Institution Visibility: More readers can become aware of authors who publish in open access journals as compared to subscription-only journals. Institutions can enhance their profile by participating in or hosting open-access publishing. Funding agencies supporting the research can achieve more prominence.
Support: We offer plenty of support to our authors and will make sure that a member of our team will be on hand to guide you through each stage of the publishing process.
Best Editorial team: You will benefit from a dedicated and expert editorial team throughout the development of your work. Scientifically trained and follow OAPL code of conduct as well as the Publication Integrity and Ethics guidelines and code of conduct.
Publishing Costs: Since open-access publications are usually less expensive to produce and disseminate, both journals and publishers can benefit. In some cases, authors may be required to pay enhanced publication charges. Many traditional publishers have made part of their material open access which has enhanced their visibility and attracted subscriptions.
